That
logo looks familiar. Where's it from?
While
our company logo resembles the Zia Sun symbol,
we use only three points as four is a sacred
number for Zia. The real Zia logo is used by
the state of New Mexico on both the flag and
license plates.
The symbol originated with the Indians of Zia
Pueblo in ancient times. It's design reflects their tribal philosophy,
with its wealth of pantheistic spiritualism teaching the basic harmony
of all things in the universe.
The flag of New Mexico was designed with their historical
background in mind. It shows the ancient Zia Sun Symbol in red on a field
of Spanish yellow. The symbol's proportions are fixed by legislative
act.
